This movie is *clearly* for those not easily offended. It is evil and hysterical, but I don’t deem I could allow my parents to go glimpse it.

Sasha Baron Cohen’s latest creation, Bruno, makes his plot to America to become uber-famous any device he can. And he goes through lots of different attempts on his arrangement. Acting, interviewing celebrities, guesting on talk shows, becoming straight, he tries many methods, each with it’s painfully silly result. You’ll like the Paula Abdul interview, particularly.

The interactions with people are astonishing, and you will be appalled at what some parents will do to regain their children into indicate business. Unprejudiced fair.

There are a lot of shocking/uncomfortable amusing moments (be prepared for gratuitous male nudity), and I am no positive how they will beget up for repeated viewings, but in a crowded theater, it was a yowl. The ending is worth the buildup, and stick around for the closing song.

I laughed so hard that my face was hurting, and my wife was crying from laughing so hard. It takes a while to recover, but soooooo worth it!

NOT for the kids.

I have to contemplate Bruno more than once, most people probably do too. That’s because Bruno is one of those rare movies where you’re laughing so hard at some parts you know you’re missing the next comical thing. As blissful, Austrian fashionista and celebrity-wannabe Bruno, Baron Cohen continues his jaw-droppingly crass and imperfect stealth comedy antics. Purportedly, Baron Cohen has been beaten up while in character, so it only seems heavenly that he makes his audience laugh hard enough to damage.

Of course the usual Baron Cohen caveat is in order: yes, its offensive, yes, its putrid, yes, there is a LOT of nudity, mostly male. If any of this is not your cup of tea, that’s dandy, no hard feelings. If you don’t mind the occasional gape of literally bouncing balls in the name of comedy, Bruno is pure gold.

Post Borat fame has probably necessitated that more of this movie be staged, with at least some of the people (a talk demonstrate host, the driver of an oncoming car) in on the joke. But scripted or natural- its wickedly comic. And enough of it is genuine- including Bruno’s interview/sex tape with Ron Paul, parents of would-be baby stars volunteering their 12-month-olds to play Nazis, ex-gay ministers, straight-rally wrestling audiences and general bystanders to Bruno’s public antics.

Bruno balances the line between social commentary and comedy like a model on a catwalk. As with Borat half the humor comes from people reactings (or not) to the character’s scandalous behavior, and half from the eerily agreeable caricature Baron Cohen creates. Fame-hound Bruno is everything narcissitic, uninformed, vain and with the all-too-common undeserved sense of entitlement that makes up the worst of American pop culture. As with Borat, Bruno learns some life-lessons and grows as a person by the waste of the movie- as Baron Cohen always seems to want to better his audience, even if he has to beat them over the head with a dildo to do it.

I don’t judge the title or camouflage does any justice to this very tantalizing zoo DVD. We got it for our 2 year feeble granddaughter and watching it makes you feel like you’re at the zoo. The slight songs grow on you, and you do ruin up singing-a-long. We actually delight in having it on in the background.

I had never heard of this movie when my husband rented it on DVD - and it is such a safe savor. It’s a bright coming-of-age fable about an English child/girl/woman (Ramola Garai) who lives with her father (Bill Nighy), a successful author suffering prolonged writer’s block, handsome slightly older sister, bohemian arty stepmother (Tara Fitzgerald), and bespectacled young brother. They travel to a cool, drafty, leaky, romantic and picturesque castle in the middle of nowhere, plunge late on the rent, wear an unfamiliar shade of green that resulted when the arty and ravishing stepmom dyed damn come everything one day.

Rose, the older sister, yearns for wealth. The property on which they live is owned by two brothers who approach to peep things - and that’s where the staunch chronicle begins. Narrated through the POV of Cassandra (Garai), the movie turns into an utterly arresting, wise and extraordinary coming-of-age legend of hopes, dreams, plots and counterplots, dashed yearnings, and a painful stride toward adulthood. Hilarious and bittersweet at the same time. Absolutely salubrious performances by the entire cast in a film which ends with the realistic but tranquil hopeful line in `words of one syllable’: I fancy. I have loved. I will fancy.

I LOVED THIS MOVIE.

Based on a British current by Dodie Smith, I Assume the Castle is an absolutely first-rate exploration of teenage savor and mismatched romance. Beautifully filmed, subtly acted, and charming from beginning to demolish, this film is touching, comic, romantic, perceptive, and stout of color, verve, and character. And the film also brings 1930’s England to life like no other film has managed to do in novel years.

I Rob the Castle is narrated in the first person by seventeen-year-old Cassandra (Romola Garai) . Cassandra is a dreamy and wistful kind of girl who obsessively writes in her dairy and possesses a knowing romantic imagination. Cassandra is the younger sister of the flighty and more fair redheaded Rose (Rose Byrne) . It’s 1936, and they live in a crumbling, leaky, and frosty rural English castle that James (Bill Nighy), their novelist dad has leased to inspire his next masterpiece.

Buy,Download, Or Stream I Capture the Castle! Click Here

Bad times have recently fallen on the family. Due to an accident that eager their mother, James now suffers writers block and has become a seedy, lanky, and desperate-looking man. He scored a sparkling success 20 years ago with his first original, but now he’s been artistically restful and fallow ever since, a pale shadow of what he once was. The family indulges him, hoping against hope that he’ll eventually come by artistic inspiration, while they try desperately to eke out a miserly and penny-pinching living.

The girls, especially Rose, despair about escaping their dank, expressionless world. Only kid brother Thomas (Joe Sowerbutts) is untroubled by the family’s debt and decay. Thankfully, Rose finally sees a scheme to sprint her parsimonious existence, when two wealthy and magnificent American brothers advance at the castle to claim their inheritance.

Hardy, butch, and blustery Neil (Marc Blucas) is distrustful of the family’s neediness, and views both Rose and Cassandra as gold diggers, while the earnest, bookish, and more sensitive Simon (Henry Thomas) soon falls for the money-hungry Rose. Simon also has eyes for Cassandra, as does Stephen (Henry Cavill), a graceful and sexy farmhand. Watching over the proceedings is the flamboyant Mrs. Cotton, the boys’ wealthy, chic mother (played by the amazing Sinead Cusack) .

As the account unfolds, the exquisite and naïve Cassandra finds herself getting caught in the middle of smoldering passions and misguided romance. She’s never quite positive what or whom she wants and spends her days trying to choose within her heart what she should do. Should she admit her feelings to Simon who is serene smitten with Rose, or should she commit to Stephen who has always harbored a secret desire for her?

Unlike her lovely but avaricious sister Rose - who is faced with a character-defining choice between care for and money, and chooses money - Cassandra at least grasps the countless value of the old, whose heartbreak always can be tempered by hope. For Cassandra, apt Cherish is a unsafe, and unpredictable endeavor and almost always illusive.

I Consume the Castle is British film making at its best. With director, Tim Fywell, gently and tenderly transporting us to the genteel era of prewar England. Even the story’s very discretion is provocative. We know that sex is going on and fueling the action, but it’s mostly hidden from our thought and only strategically hinted at.

But what makes this film really shine are the actors. Filled with blooming people - Blucas, Cavill, and Thomas are especially attractive; it’s actually the bright young actresses who play Rose and Cassandra who really buy the film. Like splendid English roses they constantly light up the cloak, one as sturdy and as robust as the earth, and the other, in savor with cherish, unapologetically obsessed with dreams of money and wealth. Mike Leonard July 05.

Don’t find me wrong- I loved American Beauty. I was petrified by The Sixth Sense. I was moved by Magnolia. But for me, the movie in 1999 that made me sit abet and say “wow” was Being John Malkovich.

I am obvious you know the residence, and words wouldn’t relieve to narrate how modern (and ingenious) it is. The film works on so many levels- it is a screwball comedy, an existential discussion of the nature of existence, a spy of sexual identity, and a satire of the recent desire to “dash” from life. On top of all of that, it is darn challenging to examine!

The characters (played to perfection but Cusack, Diaz, Keener, and Malkovich himself) are all well-drawn, and the actors do a unbelievable job- wait until you inspect Diaz, unrecognizable in frizzy hair and frumpy dress.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Being John Malkovich! Click Here

The directing is top notch as well. Spike Jonze (of Three Kings fame) has made a wise choice- he recognizes the script is the star and has directed a film without any flashy camera work, which would detract from the steady focal point. That is not to say the work is pedestrian- he did everything that had to be done to acquire the film, and he did it well (price his Oscar nod for best director) .

The production construct is a gigantic star here as well. The 7 1/2 floor is almost “Gilliam-esque”- in fact, when I first saw the preview I assumed it was Terry Gilliam’s (Brazil, 12 Monkeys) newest film.

The best word to picture this film is “giddy.” I saw that because that is what I brought away from it- I felt giddy watching it, and you can teel the cast and crew felt the same making it. The best thing I have read about the film was from a rejection letter from another studio, which neglected to option the screenplay: “I’m clear Being John Malkovich would be regarded as a work of genius on whatever planet it was written.” If that doesn’t form you want to seek the thing, nothing will.

“Well, there’s this guy….” That’s all that some viewers could really advance up with when asked to report “Being John Malkovich”, the latest film starring Cameron Diaz, Catherine Keener and John Cusack. Oh…and John Malkovich is in it, too. This movie is so unique, I can’t even start to clarify this movie, other than that it was lustrous, challenging, and hilarious. Because of the originality, it is completely unpredictable: you are so completely in the dismal trying to guess what is going to happen next, that you waste up not even bothering to guess-which makes a stout movie-going experience.

Cusack plays Craig Schwartz, a puppeteer who believes he is not impartial a puppeteer, but an artist. Diaz, in a wig that makes her nearly unrecognizable, plays Schwartz’ animal-loving wife, Lotte. Cusack, upon the realization that he might not acquire it as a puppeteer, decides to accumulate a day job, at a spot on the seventh and half floor of a Recent York skyscraper. It is here at this weird office floor, that Cusack stumbles upon a portal to John Malkovich’s brain-where he is allowed to experience what it is like to be a celebrity for 15 minutes, and then be spit out somewhere outside the Current Jersey turnpike. Hilarity ensues, and metaphysical questions are asked.

This movie is like a dream-and not in the sense that it’s an incredibly spacious movie, although it is. It’s like a dream because of the procedure that the logic is formatted. Things that have seemingly microscopic significance, have a colossal significance by the movie’s destroy. We are whisked away from plotline to plotline, that soon the rhythm of the rapidfire state becomes catchy. Things that would not originate sense in most movies makes complete sense here. Being John Malkovich’s intentional irrationality develop this a dadaistic masterpiece, a trend that I am unsure if I would want duplicated, because perhaps then motion pictures would become a medium for the insane.

The writer, Charlie Kaufmann, is quoted as saying that he wrote it not thinking that it would ever turn into a film. In response, John Malkovich said that only a writer who did not contemplate that their script could become a film would write such a script. I’d have an inclination to agree with Malkovich, unless it has become hip to design scripts that are perilous, peculiar, and seemingly drug-induced. This may well be the one movie that you should notice this year. Josh Bob says check it out. Five stars.

Devil’s Rejects is amongst my favorite films, for it’s great mix of humor, action/violence/gore, and character development. Most people looking at this review already know all about this movie.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Devil’s Rejects! Click Here

The Picture on this movie doesn’t seem to be all that much of an improvement. I’ve seen VAST differences on Blu-Rays vs DVD (Unforgiven especially!!!), and this movie just doesn’t seem to have all that much extra when watching it in Hi-Def.

There are no new special features in this release, so if you already own this title on DVD, I would advise against upgrading like I did.

It’s the 1970s all over again. If you’re obsessed with the 1970s, like me, especially 70s drive-in classics, like me, The Devil’s Rejects is a must-see. It’s probably the closest thing to a 70s drive-in horror flick that’s been made since the 70s. This is either a good or bad thing depending on your perspective. If you hate tasteless, gory, low-budget B-movies, then you would do well to skip The Devil’s Rejects. If, however, you are passionate about Ford Administration-era low-budget flicks, then don’t hesitate: see this movie.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Devil’s Rejects! Click Here

The Devil’s Rejects is Rob Zombie’s spin-off/sequel to his 2003 directorial debut, House of 1000 Corpses. That film was famously dumped by its distributor, Universal Studios, and then picked up by Lion’s Gate. Then upon release it was scathed by critics, but not surprisingly, managed to connect with a cult audience. Personally I found it to be the most sensational, joyous horror film I had seen in ages. It reveled in its depravity and had the ability to be both hilarious and disturbing at the same time. The Devil’s Rejects is up the same alley. Not as much of a horror movie as its predecessor, The Devil’s Rejects is more of an action-horror-road movie. It looks like a 30-year-old drive-in movie. If you didn’t know any better, you could swear that it was filmed on a shoestring budget in the late ’70s. It captures that feel extraordinarily well. The movie gets it down from the start and never strays from it, right down to the soundtrack. The first song that you hear in the movie is The Allman Brothers Band classic “Midnight Rider”. The soundtrack also features Joe Walsh, Terry Reid, James Gang, Elvin Bishop, Otis Rush, etc. Not to mention a very memorable use of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird”.

If House of 1000 Corpses was Rob Zombie’s homage to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Devil’s Rejects seems almost like an homage to Tobe Hooper’s 1986 sequel, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. The similarities are certainly there. William Forsythe’s Sheriff Wydell is not far from Dennis Hopper’s Lieutenant Lefty Enright, who maniacally pursues the family of killers to exact his revenge. The whole film reeks of Tobe Hooper worship (but not in a bad way).

The Tobe Hooper element is certainly there, but another director sprang to mind as I was watching the film. The Devil’s Rejects is almost like the horror equivalent of Kill Bill, Quentin Tarantino’s retro-martial arts-spaghetti western masterpiece. Upon seeing the film a second time, I was reminded of the work of yet another director: Sam Peckinpah. I don’t know if Rob Zombie was directly influenced by Peckinpah (it’s certainly likely), but all thoughout The Devil’s Rejects I was reminded of films like The Wild Bunch, Straw Dogs and The Getaway. The first time I saw it, all I really thought of was Tobe Hooper, however I now see that The Devil’s Rejects may be a bit of a Peckinpah homage as well. This certainly gives the film an element of style and class to contrast the otherwise trashy material.

Rob Zombie, just like Quentin Tarantino, is passionate about this genre of film and tries to make the ultimate drive-in homage. Just look at the roster of horror film veterans that Zombie assembled: Ken Foree, P.J. Soles, Mary Waronov, Michael Berryman, and Steve Railsback. If you know who any of these people are, then you are definitely part of the target audience for this film. Not to mention Sid Haig and Bill Moseley returning from House of 1000 Corpses.

Ahh, yes… Sid Haig and Bill Moseley. This movie absolutely belongs to them!! Haig and Moseley own the screen! These two actors alone make the film a must-see. They are awesome! If you liked Sid Haig’s Captain Spaulding character from the first film, you will be delighted to know that he plays a much bigger part in this one. Sid Haig is a devilish delight as the mad clown, Captain Spaulding. Bill Moseley simply rules as Otis! He is a bad M.F. These two awesome performances carry the movie. Also worth mentioning is William Forsythe who is excellent as Sheriff Wydell, the obsessed lawman who is trying to track down Captain Spaulding and his cohorts. Next to Sid Haig and Bill Moseley, Forsythe gives one of the best performances in the movie. However, I really miss Karen Black as Mother Firefly. Not to say that Leslie Easterbrook isn’t good in the role, but I think she goes a bit over the top. Karen Black would have brought a graceful sensuality to the character, and probably a bit of restraint.

So, is The Devil’s Rejects a good movie? Well, that’s not an easy question. The short answer is probably “no, it’s not”. By the conventional definition, it would probably not be labeled a cinematic triumph. However, Rob Zombie does a fine job directing and his dialog is deliciously profane. For those who like this sort of thing, the movie is a blast. Finally, allow me to state a blunt warning: If you are looking for a good, scary horror movie, The Devil’s Rejects is probably not what you’re looking for. If you like horror movies like The Ring and The Grudge, The Devil’s Rejects is DEFINITELY not what you’re looking for. Simply put, if you like modern horror movies a lot, you will probably not like The Devil’s Rejects. On the other hand if you recognize Ken Foree from his roles in George Romero’s Dawn of the Dead and Stuart Gordon’s From Beyond, and you know Michael Berryman as the “freaky-looking guy” from The Hills Have Eyes, then yes, The Devil’s Rejects is certainly for you. If you treasure your copy of VideoHound’s “Cult Flicks and Trash Pics”, then yes, this is for you. If you’re not too squeamish, you’ll probably have a bloody good time.

One of the best movies/series I have ever seen; the sage is legend and well-told, and the acting and cinematography are astonishing.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Shaka Zulu - The Complete 10 Part Television Epic! Click Here

What I liked best was the ambivalent nature of all of the main characters, not the two-dimensional cardboard cut-outs typically encountered in movies (and series) . Shaka, while certainly a substantial leader, warrior, and king, is also certainly an utterly ruthless, blood-stained tyrant; this production does an astonishing job of illustrating these and other facets of the man. As other reviewers effect, Henry Cele was fair incredible in this role.

The English characters were also portrayed well; the leader, Lt. Farewell, is depicted as a well-intentioned rogue seeking ivory, but ultimately his relationship with Shaka changes him. Normally he might not be a very sympathetic character, but compared to the British colonial officials in Capetown, he is practically a paragon of wisdom and virtue. The Scottish doctor meanwhile attempts with rather shrimp success to school Shaka in the tenents of the Christian faith–Shaka has a device of turning all of the doctor’s earnest efforts completely backwards.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Shaka Zulu - The Complete 10 Part Television Epic! Click Here

Finally, a comment about the ample section of the series devoted to Shaka’s birth and childhood–it is Shakespeare and Greek tragedy rolled into one–prophecies, witchcraft, parricide, regicide, vengeance, worship, war, etc. Very very spellbinding.

When Nandi and her unborn child are saved by the venerable witch doctor, he proclaims: “A force has been generated that in time will rock the foundation of the African sub-continent.”

Indeed the prophecy shaped the event and Shaka was the ruthless founder of southern Africa’s Zulu Empire… In less than a decade, the paramount chieftain of the Zulu clan revolutionized the techniques of tribal warfare and fashioned an efficient and evil fighting force that devastated the entire position…

Set against the emergence of British power in Africa during the early 19th Century, the film provides some considerable insights into comparative cultures…

Shaka (Henry Cele) is a man of great height, thin, with athletic body and white teeth who can read and write… He is a stout warrior, tactically, strategically and physically… He rearms his army with a long-bladed, short-shafted stabbing spear, which forced them to fight at conclude quarters… He goes for extermination, incorporating the remnants of the clans he smashed into the Zulu, making it increase with numbers and power..

The Mini-Series begins with a letter to the British king (George IV) regarding the Zulus’ potential threat to the Cape Colony… In an attempt to intimidate Shaka into an alliance with the British empire, the Secretary of War sends a delegation to inner African to meet with the tremulous warrior…

We eye :

- The meeting of Nandi, an orphaned princess of the neighboring Langeni clan and Senzangakona, the chief of the then minute Zulu tribe… They are instantly attracted to each other… Nandi becomes pregnant, at the same time as Kona’s wife, but the marriage did not last… Their marriage violated Zulu custom, and the stigma of this extended to the child…

- The couple separated when Shaka was six, and Nandi took her son encourage to the Langeni, where he passed a fatherless boyhood among a people who despised his mother and made him the butt of endless cruel pranks… He grew up to be bitter and indignant, hating his tormentors… The Langeni drove Nandi out, and she finally found shelter with the Dletsheni, a subclan of the great Mtetwa…

- Shaka ruled with an iron hand from the beginning, distributing instant death for the slightest opposition…

- While en route to Shaka’s capital, the crew’s doctor saves a girl who is in a coma and nearly buried alive by her tribe… Impressed by both the deed and their horses, Shaka agrees to meet with the crew… And so begins the clash of two cultures, two different worlds…

- Shaka, seriously wounded for saving an unknown warrior (King Dingiswayo), is nursed to health by a ravishing Mtwetwa girl…

- Shaka, believing in total annihilation, joins the Mtwetwa army and creates a hazardous weapon for the African warfare…

- Shaka grants Port Natal, with its ivory rights, to the British crew after he is saved by the crew’s doctor from an assassination attempt…

- Shaka’s great army saving the British delegation in a battle against thousands of Ndwandwe warriors… To test the alliance and allegiance of the British delegation, Shaka orders them into battle alone against the Ndwandwe warriors…

- With his mother’s death Shaka becomes openly psychotic… Thousands are killed in the initial paroxysm of his difficulty…

- Shaka rules by the sheer force of his personality, building, by scores of daily executions, a anxiety so profound that he could afford to ignore it…

Set against the spectacular panorama of the Zulu tribal homelands, and with graphic violence and frequent nudity, “Shaka Zulu” is a gigantic story Mini-Series, chronicling the rise and descend of one of the most well-known South Africans who has already passed into record…

This is a very good follow up to the original Baby Babble. The first one was very helpful for our speech-delayed two year old. We like it so much that we pre-ordered this one from Amazon when it first came out.

The DVD has 4 sections.

1. The main video which focus on objects/words with P, B, M sounds. All of which are introduced and sounded out through pretend play, toys in action, etc. It makes the DVD more “interactive” than just watching flashcard style presentation. After several viewing, our son started to repeat the words and also do pretend play with his toys.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Baby Babble 2 - First Words: P B M! Click Here

Also, interjected between the video clips of toys and pretend play are the two speech pathologists showing how to make “P”, “B” and “M” sounds with their mouth. These two ladies have gotten an updated hairstyle and a lot less “stiff”/serious than the original video. This is a great improvement second times around.

It also introduce some basic concepts like colors (Purple, Blue, etc.) and counting (1, 2, 3).

Overall, the video is about 30 minutes.

2. The main video is follow by a parents guidance section which the two speech pathologist describe methods that parents can use at home to encourage their child to practice P, B, M sounds at home like blowing bubbles or on the cotton ball. There are some excellent advice here.

3. The third section shows the two speech pathologist using sign language and sound out some main objects/concepts (Thank you, please, more, music, etc.) show in the video. This is a good section reinforce the main video. The sign language section might be more helpful for younger toddlers/babies who may not be able to sound out the words.

4. Finally, it shows all the toys and their manufacturer featured in the main video. We have found a few toys we like from this video and have subsequently purchased it for our son.

Overall, I highly recommend both Baby Babble 1 and 2 to parents who wants to share more educational videos with their kids during TV time. This is especially helpful for parents with children who may be speech-delayed.

I just have to say that both of these videos are a hit with my boys. I have a nearly 5 year old son that has Autism and Apraxia. I got the first video when he was less than a year old. It used to be the only thing that calmed him down when he started to tantrum or melt down. I used to be amazed by the calming affect it had on him. Besides the fact that these videos are very addicting to young children, they are also great for helping with speech. My son is articulating his P, B, M words so much better now that he’s been watching the 2nd video…they really do learn from these. Not to mention, my nearly 3 year old neurotypical son is just as addicted as his older brother. I love watching the two of them interact with each other as they are watching these videos. I especially love that there are a couple of popular characters in the 2nd video…particularly Thomas and Elmo. My boys get soooo excited when they see the Thomas toy as they are both addicted to Thomas. I like the sign language portion of the videos too and both boys enjoy it. My autistic son even likes to watch the parent tutorials. I think he is just soothed by the music and Amy and Corey’s voices. Anyway, if you are considering this…just go ahead and buy it. You won’t be sorry you did.

I purchased several yoga DVDs designed for beginners and/or inflexible people, and this one is by far the best. The pose section leads you through about 10 key poses, providing clear guidance on how to do them properly, and noting common mistakes. Going through this section a couple of times is very useful, and a good workout in and of itself. The additional two workout provided on the DVD are GREAT, and give you several options for voice-over narration–detailed instruction when you are still learning, more low-key or inspirational voice-overs once you’ve got it down. Get this DVD before getting any others.

This is one case in which the title does not mislead. If you don’t have much background in yoga and need to have all the various postures explained in some detail, this is the DVD for you. Even if you do have some experience with yoga, they will take you back to the basics where you might need a little correction here and there. Also, on the disc Rodney Yee and his partner take you through the steps of two yoga workouts that will lead you in the end to a wonderful feeling of relaxation.

The company that compiled these lost films area them to their absorb music (which takes away from the films) . I watched them with my television muted to fully luxuriate in them.

I would NOT recommend these films to children as they are restful and would quite possibly go unappreciated.

This movie is like those stale restful movies perhaps you have seen bits and pieces of while watching documentaries of famed movie actors and actresses of the early 1900’s. Sad and white of course, and very busy and somewhat harsh on the eyeballs. I judge since “challenging pictures” were such a modern opinion wait on then, that the actors were told to wave their arms A LOT, and run-around frantically while frequently falling down. There is a lot of commotion constantly going on.

It’s very lively in that you can gape where the opinion originated for the later movie, “The Wizard of Oz”, of which we are familiar with. The frail version (this movie) does not have very great in popular, story-wise with the later movie, but peaceful it’s fun to explore and witness how far we have advance in the cinematic arts. The prototypes for the scarecrow, lion, and tin man are there though one of the main and most busy character, “patchwork girl” is not. My 7 year outmoded loved this movie, but I convey I sometimes consider she’s my grandmother reincarnated who grew up watching these types of movies. She loves watching all the worn movies and cartoons while I secure tired of them rather fleet. (Although my daughter is adopted, she has a lot of the same mannerisms my grandmother did!) So, don’t steal this movie thinking your kid is going to like it because they won’t - but it’s big for historical background of quiet movies, and it’s the precursor to the “Wizard of Oz” with Judy Garland.

Although this is a calm movie, I finally had to tranquil it because of the constant organ music - it kept playing these harsh chords over and over and over and over with petite change in musical thunder. It was maddening to listen to it over a long period of time. It didn’t change no matter what was going on in the narrative - frantic scene after frantic scene it was the same honking organ music. But music is not needed and it’s easy to peruse without any sound at all. The sage was not exactly fluid, but you could sort of hold up with it by not missing the few opportunities to read a diminutive bit of dialogue and secure out what was happening. Sometimes things would change very suddenly without any previous memoir build-up so you impartial have to earn it and go along with the sprint. The region where the movie was filmed was scraggy, weedy and dry with no though given to making the landscape more visually proper. Some costumes were no more than boxes (the “Woozy”!) but other costumes were noteworthy more account for. I like that they impartial filmed where they were with the environment honest like it was. The props were high-school quality at best, but I liked it anyway.

I deem this movie would be a grand glance for someone earning a college degree in film. It has a lot to offer in many areas, especially when seeing how the special effects were done. And this movie did have some very keen special effects! Honestly, I adore the innocence of it all - it was a pleasure to have this study of the past and I’m very cheerful I bought it, but I probably won’t survey it again for a while.
